Through the Eyes of Another

Looking through the stained windows as the rain cascaded down,

Pathways created clean crevices through which to see,

The beams of sunlight that the rain hid and clouds tried to deny,

Bursting forward amidst the grey,

Life was comparable,

He looked bemused again facing the glass,

I watched him as if to see into his mind; perchance!

Delight overflowed , as for him it was simple,

He laughed and continued to look,

Not a word he could say but tap an action to portray,

Paring into his mind again I wondered what he thought,

Life was comparable,

Within a cage of silence of seeing the world in different ways,

Oh but not silent; simply different and special in his own way;

Looking for ways to show your emotions and expressions,

Marveling, exploring, discovery every moment,

Life was comparable,

Running away from the crowd to the gym to play,

He was on his own beat,

The elliptical, the weights, He was so thrilled,

It warmed her heart to see him smiling,

But my heart skipped some beats for fear he would fall or break any limb part,

Life was comparable,

12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God].

1 Corinthians 13:12 Amplified Bible (AMP)

May we never lose our wonder
