Hey WordPress I’m giving you an extra dose of personal in this post: over the past few weeks I have been battling with latent stress and anxiety. I am no psychologist but I know a little bit of it from my sister she’ll correct me if I’m wrong here, things troubling your mind can make manifestations in your body and can have you baffled as to what is really going on in your life it can happen to anyone. Psychosomatic: Quote: “Some physical diseases are thought to be especially prone to be worsened by mental factors such as anxiety and stress. Examples include eczema, psoriasis, high blood pressure, ulcers and heart disease.”
Somatoform disorders are mental illnesses that cause bodily symptoms, including pain. The symptoms can’t be traced back to any physical cause. And they are not the result of substance abuse or another mental illness.
Okie so don’t be alarmed my case is not as serious as all that I have not been diagnosed with the former either I had acid reflex with a hint of anxiety which I think were linked to my sin of not fully releasing my cares to God from my heart. Forgive me! Apart from doctor’s meds I believe the best prescription is to drink more living water I can’t carve out broken cisterns in my life without him and expect to be sustained!!! NOOO the opposite will occur: #ParchedMuch
When you want to know why God says to cast all your cares upon him for he cares for you that’s because he doesn’t want you to suffer!!! LISTEN TO HIM!!!!!! I am going through a preparation period of all manner of education, personal tests and little trials I believe God is building me up to be worthy of my calling. I have been seeking God with determination I put up promises to hold onto where I can see them and try to hold onto them in my heart also, but the enemy prowls around seeking whom he can devour. I don’t believe anyone is exempt from this attempt of the enemy and I had to question whether his attacks on me are because I am a weaker Christian. AHAHAHA you see I now believe that this question is a direct method of the enemy to hold you back!! Remember Loa Tzu Art of War know your enemy and in a thousand battles you will not be put to shame. There are things however that can steal your joy if you let them. I had to get rid a print in my room of my Banksy balloon girl sniff sniff.
It was quite dear to me but I felt it was perpetuating or contributing to an unhealthy focus in my life that I had let go of. God and experiences reading his word are like a true mirror and a sieve for your life: read it and you see what you really look like, throw your life into it and it will sift you and filter you for the best.
The enemy tries all means and methods to get at you whether past, emotional burdens, present etc. When you keep your present fixed on walking on Gods path and obeying him he can’t use that he will try but fail, when you take every thought captive and subject it to God he fails there too. When he tries you at your forgiven past you know that there is therefore no condemnation Romans 8 for those that are in Christ so you walk on confidently as a new creation.
Is the enemy under your feet? My mom and I laughed whilst singing “Oh I went to the enemy’s camp and I took back what he stole from me… He’s under my feet he’s under my feet” How many of us sing a song without truly understanding what it really means or secondly how many songs are completely misleading or at best a little vague outside of the context of the inspiration for them?
HOW IS SATAN under your feet?
I have discovered there are two ways that Satan can be under your feet and this has me sobered up and enlightened. Careful Folks!!!!
- In a literal sense the Cambridge Dictionary describes the term under your feet like this: If someone is under your feet, they are near you in a way that is difficult and prevents you from doing what you want to do: Is Satan close to you making it difficult for you to do what God wills?
- Romans 16:20 says: The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.The [wonderful] grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας (under one’s feet) meaning to have authority or to be put under subjection.
Be-careful which way the devil is under your feet today !!! Have you trusted God wholeheartedly and relied on his grace? I also believe that focusing on the under your feet part can be harmful if you haven’t yet gotten to that place in your battle where you understand that we have to be submitted to the Holy Spirit for that control to be won in our case.
1 Peter 5:8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 Be sober [well-balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
Or to the place where we learn that he is a defeated foe through the powerful work of Christ paying the ultimate sacrifice!!
Hebrews 2:14-15 Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 Therefore, since [these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself in a similar manner also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and [that He] might free all those who through [the haunting] fear of death were held in slavery throughout their lives.
So when situations in my life: like work, longing to be married, fear of unknowns, unfulfilled desires of my heart, try to literally steal my joy I am not in position 1) anymore because I believe with my whole being the GOD that I serve I trust him, rely on him, in complete faith in his power without knowledge of all the details (of which I crave ) all I know is that Christ is what I need ALWAYS. I am more than fine even right now.
May Satan Truly be under your subjection with God’s grace.
1 Peter 5:7: casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
Don’t let your care eat away at your peace, eat away at your health, know that the enemy is a defeated yet deadly foe, trust God wait upon him, rest in him keep your mind stayed on Him to be in perfect peace and be well.
