Entering into the campsite, Schuzu wasn’t sure what to expect. “What am I really doing here, Father?” her inner mind’s voice uttered. Father whispered in a still small voice “its okay, my child just trust my process” He encouraged.
Schuzu was given her instruction from the counselor in charge, as a volunteer, she would have to take care of her assigned camp attendee ensuring they were involved in the activities each day as needed. She was excited but apprehensive at the same time. Remember Schuzu had come through the treacherous areas of Eta Car forsaking the car juice, being washed, being sealed and being saved by Good Father ;she now kept watch for the true ship to return.
Since that day she picked up her sword to fight and there had been many reasons to yield it in battles for little Schu. A gruesome dragon with several heads would challenge her but she fought to prevail, she would not bow to the beast. She had the help of those whom good Father had sent to help her and her name was on the list for the True Ship!!
Not just a dragon but every now and again she would be accused!! She would run into old friends from Eta Car and thus a thought of her old life would flash before her Hologram involuntarily. Sometimes they were the one’s that remembered her drinking the Car Juice and they would go to great lengths to recall how she would indulge in it. Poor Schu grimaced I know I really did, She would agree, “what a wretch I WAS“. Although she said the word :WAS, her mind still wrestled with this, but she knew that it was part of the dangerous gravitational pull of the #Wildernest# Planet#. If you get caught in the pull and succumb to it the atmosphere of the deadly zone would trap you forever and your body would circle hopelessly around the Doom preventing you from flying high or worse being stuck in its orbit, forgoing any chance of escape on the TrueShip. Father would look upon those who were caught in the pull and say “How long shall you despise ME?!!!!!”
When father saved Schu he made her new, he wiped her slate clean but she had to forgive herself for what lay behind her in the darkness of Eta. Her heart swelled with thankfulness for his grace. All that had been illuminated in her life, all that she now could see as filthy, she wanted no part of it. She wanted to please good Father so much. Be blameless in his estimation. She could only succeed with his gift, the help of his Holy Spirit he’d entrusted to her. She felt so honoured to be given this gift and she took every opportunity to show her gratitude to Father for it.
Since all this Schu had been placed on a course and this camp was a part of it, Good Father promised her with the kindest of words “I am the author of your life, I shall make much of you as I wish, Schu, but you’re just going to have to rest in me, glorify ME!!” His voice bellowing with the utmost authority. Schu was a go getter, with a can do attitude, it was not her nature to wait but to see, to go, and to do all the plans that seemed feasible for her to implement. She would find the letting go another battle to face. But she had been made new, entrusted with the tools to succeed.
Father says again “Trust in me, Delight in me, find rest in me, look to me, I am all that you need, Only see what I wish you to see: I am the truth, only go when I tell you to move, and only do that which would be pleasing to me on my plan for you” The frustrating thing for Schu is that she did not have the full plan all laid out in front of her like a regular blueprint instead there was a puzzle she had in fragments but the guiding instructions were so revealing and clear when she pondered them. “Put in the time Schu you will delight in this book of instruction.” Holy Spirit reassured her and so she did 🙂
Schuzu was partnered with a few of the attendees at the camp but the one that stood out was a girl named Faith. Faith was a dear little girl but she could not speak. She offered only appropriate body gestures and grunts which displayed her satisfaction or her disquietude.
The camp lasted for a full week and in that time Faith showed Schuzu that she was independent and capable of handling certain things on her own in fact it would frustrate her to have Schuzu hot on her heals trying to be ahead of her every move, trying to always do it for Faith. Preventing faith from doing what faith wanted to do was a recipe for turmoil. If Faith wanted her lunch faith would go get her lunch, if Faith wanted to play on the slide faith went up the little slide. When Schuzu tried to get faith to go on a larger slide she wouldn’t allow it no matter how hard Schuzu tried she even tried demonstrating for her “Look faith, this is what its supposed to look like, you just put your feet in first then let go” Schu harped, Faith moaned “uh uh” in harassed hushed tones.
Over to the monkey bars she chose and again Schu gestured “this is how you do it Faith” but faith would only go across if Schuzu lifted Faith up high and bodily carried her across the chasm between one end of bar and the next. Of course this was probably the most strenuous of methods to get her across, but it’s what Faith requested.
On another occasion we had a day in the waters of Eta ponds from it there was a stream that funneled through a hollow vine, this vine could be used like a spout to direct water wherever you pointed it. Everyone in the camp was enjoying their time in the warm Eta pond as they played games and laughed. Faith was distracted and fascinated with the spout she picked it up and wouldn’t stop pouring water over Schu’s head, cold, refreshing water, and she made motions to wipe the hair on Schu’s head clean, so she continued.
But there was one day when Faith was a mess Schu had been particularly attentive, really hands on, anticipating and even doing for faith what Faith could do all by herself.
Faith had a tantrum!!!
She screamed and ran across the room hopping from lunch kit to lunch kit as if they were stepping-stones in a pond. She climbed on the ragged sofa and attempted climbing the window but we apprehended her. The camp counsellor availed himself to calm the situation and took her away to one corner whispering soothing refrains. Inaudible to Schuzu and the onlookers.
Schu puffed a sigh, why wasn’t faith responding as she had hoped? What did I do wrong, faith ? In the other room Schu could hear the commotion as two of the other counselors called for her to come to their assist. We wrestled with faith, she was calm for a moment but in a split second as Schu turned her back she had flung her lunch across the room as she watched Schu square in the eye. The other helpers watched on as Schu gathered the grains from their squandered parts.
Wrestling with Faith!!
Schu collected all the grains as she felt very disheartened at the way things were going. Stepping out into the main area she paused to collect herself. “What are you doing here Schu?” “What’s going on with you?” Good Fathers voice again bellows within; shaking her bones”Trust the process Schu,” “I know why I have allowed you to be here” Then she saw Faith run from one room to the next with helpers trailing after her. One of the other helpers yelled “Come help us !” Schu went bravely.
What lay ahead in the next few moments would never be able to be washed from her memory as in the simplest of ways it reminded her of the path that Good father had set her on. A fight of faith for Schu and the helpers had to gently wrestle with faith in the conflict to be still. She soiled herself, we had to put on new garments, she flung her food we had to clean it up, she kicked and punched we had to bear the blows. But it was not that she was the faith that Schu had it was not that true faith was giving her blows but that life would bring tests (not gentle) and a battle against evil but faith would keep her going. In this moment Schu felt her mind acquiesce as she understood she must carry her cross as Father had shown her and be refined by the refiner’s fire that she would tread through knowing that He’ll be the glory in her midst. Little Faith went home early that day but Scuhu’s FAITH was magnified.
She shall walk by faith not by sight
But as for you, [a]O man of God, flee from these things; aim at and pursue righteousness [true goodness, moral conformity to the character of God], godliness [the fear of God], faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and [in the presence] of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession [in His testimony] before Pontius Pilate, 14 to keep all His precepts without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will bring about in His own time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign [the absolute Ruler], the King of those who reign as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, 16 He alone possesses immortality [absolute exemption from death] and lives in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal power and dominion! Amen. (1 Timothy 6:11-16)
“Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
