If I may be half the woman that you are,
What a woman I could be,
May I walk the path God has set for me,
One of virtue, of wisdom, of grace.
May I keep my hands busy with all the selfless tasks:
So often overlooked.
May I present myself as a woman that fears the Lord.
As you have shown me,
To honour God and to be a woman: Set apart and Holy.
One who loves and respects and is the picture of virtue,
May I one day be as strong and beautiful as you.
MOTHER, MAY I
Proverbs 31:26 (AMPC) She opens her mouth in skilful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction].
